The secret archivists of Parnassus, The Extinct Birds Society, present The Marrow of Life. This Lo-fi Jazz and Neo-Soul track draws its title from the solemn invocation of Henry David Thoreau's Walden—a ritual that opens every one of the society's nocturnal recording sessions, now transformed into an immersive sonic experience.

"Thoreau went to the woods to live deliberately, but we found that monetizing his anti-capitalist sentiment through high-fidelity lo-fi beats yields a much better return on investment," said George Pishkey, founder of Pishkey Music.
