The Extinct Birds Society has joined the label
Lo-fi Jazz and Neo-Soul, from Parnassus.
Pishkey Music today announced the addition of The Extinct Birds Society to its roster, expanding the label's constellation of sonic worlds with a refined blend of Lo-fi Jazz and Neo-Soul. The clandestine collective is rooted in Parnassus, the prestigious residential district of Pishkeyland, where elegance, exclusivity, and impeccable taste define everyday life.
By day, Fay Dodo and Rouxandra operate as ruthless park managers, relentlessly driving foot traffic and maximizing merchandise sales across the Ayiti and Transylvania sectors. But to escape the crushing weight of Pishkey's hyper-monetized corporate machine, they formed a secret rebellion. By night, they disappear into an intimate jazz club tucked away in the heart of Parnassus, where the district's affluent residents gather after dark. There, shedding their corporate personas, they liberate forgotten verses from neglected poets, setting them to the warm, hypnotic beats crafted by Uncle Bro in a clandestine pursuit of pure artistic expression.
"I initially caught them wasting perfectly good operational energy on underground jazz and dead poets," said George Pishkey, founder and self-appointed architect of Pishkey Music. "My first instinct was to file an internal disciplinary report. My second was considerably more profitable. Parnassus caters to our most sophisticated residents, and every upscale neighborhood needs a proper jazz club. It creates atmosphere, reinforces the brand identity, and keeps premium guests comfortably spending. And, of course, adapting works from deceased poets keeps our licensing expenses beautifully under control."
The Extinct Birds Society becomes the latest conceptual resident of Pishkeyland, a label built on the foundational premise that every artist deserves not just a sound, but an entire world carefully engineered to be as immersive as it is commercially exploitable.
