Sons of Troy joins Pishkeyland
Epic Funk and Italo Disco, from a district of heroes and mythology.
Pishkey Music today announced the addition of Sons of Troy to its roster, expanding the label's growing constellation of sonic worlds with an Epic Funk and Italo Disco sound rooted in a soon-to-be-developed district of Pishkeyland dedicated to heroes, glory, and premium mythology-based living.
Born from a shared obsession with ancient epics, Italian animation soundtracks, and the cinematic grandeur of the 1980s, Sons of Troy transform the legacy of heroic poetry into a powerful collision of funk, rock, and Italo Disco. Their music revives forgotten ideals of courage, rebellion, and adventure, creating a soundtrack for modern warriors who still believe in legends.
"I have always admired epic poetry. The ability of ancient authors to build entire worlds around heroes, conflicts, and impossible dreams is something every creator should aspire to," said George Pishkey, founder and self-appointed architect of Pishkey Music. "More importantly, I saw a premium opportunity hiding in plain sight: nostalgia is one of the most powerful currencies available. The heroes of the past already have a loyal audience, and the golden era of Italian cartoon themes represents an incredibly underserved market segment. We are not just preserving legends. We are creating a premium destination experience."
Sons of Troy become the latest residents of Pishkeyland, a label built on the foundational principle that every artist deserves not just a sound, but a world of their own.
