Pishkey Music Officially Begins
Kosta Meltemy's “Pame Paralia” becomes the label's first release.
Pishkey Entertainment today confirmed that the release of Kosta Meltemy's "Pame Paralia (Let's Go to the Beach)" officially marks the launch of Pishkey Music, the company's new sonic division. Born from the sun-soaked shores of Ogygia, the track becomes the label's first official release, opening the catalog that will come to house every world, artist, and gift shop tie-in still to come.
"I have a dream that one day, this division will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these metrics to be self-evident, that all songs are created for private equity,'" said George Pishkey, founder of Pishkey Entertainment and now, apparently, of Pishkey Music. "I have a dream that the music industry — an industry burdened by artistic integrity and organic discovery — will be transformed into an ecosystem of algorithmic optimization, creator monetization, and predictable ROI. And today... I HAVE A STREAM.*"
