Dodo Titit (The Crab Song) is out now
An Afro-Groove reimagining of a traditional Haitian Creole lullaby.
Emerging from the Ayiti catalog, Fay Dodo presents Dodo Titit (The Crab Song), an Afro-Groove reimagining of a traditional Haitian Creole lullaby. The track transforms the classic folklore—a playful warning to children that a crab might drag them away if they refuse to sleep—into a vibrant, rhythmic journey of empowerment. Instead of the child falling prey to the creature, the lullaby delivers a triumphant twist: the mother ultimately cooks the menacing crab into a traditional calalou stew for her future queen.
"Flipping the script from crustacean-based night terrors to serving the monster up in a savory stew is exactly the kind of empowering content that drives engagement across our family-friendly demographics," said George Pishkey, founder of Pishkey Music and owner of the Pishkeyland theme park. "But the real synergy is the menu integration. Tourists visiting our Ayiti park restaurants can now savor that exact same victorious Crab Calalou stew. It’s an ultra-exclusive, artisanal culinary experience, and the premium market-rate pricing truly reflects just how luxurious it is to eat your nightmares."
